With two months to go before this year's AMD World Championship of Custom Bike Building, entries to the four classes are running ahead of last year at around 65 bikes already, and plans are moving ahead for the staging arrangements on the downtown Sturgis Lazelle/3rd site we now share with Harley-Davidson.

The four classes are the now famous 'FreeStyle' Class; the Production Manufacturer Class; the new Performance Custom Class; and the fast growing Modified Harley Class, sponsored by Harley-Davidson, in which connection information on the collaboration between AMD's World Championship program and Harley is now live in the Sturgis pages of their own website (www.harley-davidson.com/sturgis) with link on to the World Champs class definitions and entry forms, which can be found at www.amdchampionship.com

As usual, the World Championship is an open entry competition with no qualification required, although winners of Affiliate shows get an automatic place and have their entry fee waived.

The set-up day for receiving, registration and run testing of competing bikes is Saturday August 6th, with the competition running from Sunday 7th through to the awards ceremony at 3;00 pm on Wednesday August 10th.

The awards ceremony, indeed the entire duration of the World Championship, will again be broadcast by internet.

The 'Partner Night' Industry VIP Party will be at 7:30 pm on Sunday August 7th.

Further World Championship information is available from Neil Blaber (neil@amdchampionship.com)
